Jenessa Batt | Earth-Based Healing

Jenessa is a healer, mystic, nature guide, and guardian of the spirits of nature.

Jenessa was initiated by The Apaza Family; an Andean Lineage of healers from Kiko Peru. Her initiations brought her into their lineage as a Nusta Paqo Pampamesayok, sacred q’epi mesa carrier and steward of the Earth.

The ancestors of the Apaza family received guidance on cleansings, healings, blessings, soul retrievals and Mother Earth offerings, directly from their relationship to Mother Earth and the Cosmos. This is the loving wisdom that has been entrusted to Jenessa by her elders and is the medicine that she carries and shares with the world.

Jenessa’s specialty is Earth and nature based healing. She guides others on how to reconnect with nature and how to practice gratitude and reciprocity through Mother Earth ceremonies. She assists in the removal of heavy energies through cleansings and brings healing to fragmented trauma through soul retrieval. Her medicine brings the spirits of nature to you through these ceremonial offerings which deepens your connection to nature, restores a sense of self, a sense of belonging to the world, good ways of living and harmonious ways of relating.

Shamanic Energy Medicine | Marilu Shinn

She was born & raised in Mexico City. The Shamanic way of empowerment & healing is not something she recently came upon or learned about by reading books, rather, it has been an integral part of her life experience & vision since she was a child. Following in her ancestors’ footsteps, it is her highest destiny and passion to walk the Path of the Medicine Woman & ordained Priestess with the intention of supporting your highest expression. Her formal training includes the Four Winds, Light Body School, and an ongoing apprenticeship with the Indigenous Q’ero people of the high Andes of Peru. She was initiated in the Peruvian Shamanic Tradition by Don Alberto Mencariapa in 2005, in Tipon, Peru, and she is a Mesa Carrier connected to the wisdom traditions of South America.

She also hold BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2003, she was certified as a Yoga instructor by the Mount Madonna School. The ancient teachings from those two traditions has helped her deepen my understanding of the many natural & somatic ways in which we can bring about soul-level healing and transformation at the deepest cellular level and re-alignment with Purpose & Source Energy, once we trust our body’s wisdom and innate capacity to restore itself. She has also received Teachings & Rites of the Sacred Feminine Archetypes & Wisdomfrom renown scholar Vicki Noble, author of the book, “Shakti Woman.” However, her devotion & practice is exclusively Shamanic & informed by the Q’ero Wisdom Keepers.

Plant Medicine: Cacao | Ivonne Davey

Sourced from the indigenous communities of Tabasco, Mexico and the Guatemala Jungles, Ivonne shares collective Cacao ceremonies as passed down to her by the Elders in Mexico through Abuelo Efrén Hernández Maldonado, and Guatemala through Tata Izaias and his wife Isabel Mendoza from Lava Love Cacao. To offer the wisdom and heart medicine of cacao to you.

In serving cacao elixir and facilitating healing ceremonies, it is her intention to raise awareness about this plant medicine and dignify and name its Indigenous origins and original carriers.

As such, she acts as a steward in service to the original keepers, their communities, families and villages who continue to preserve and maintain the roots and Tradition of cacao. This is also their livelihood. For this reason, part of the funds generated through the sales of the cacao bars go back to their communities, both in Tabasco and Guatelmala.

It is her personal duty and responsibility to keep the knowledge pure, without diluting the principles and wisdom inherent in the cacao seeds, and to not mix Lineages.

In this way and by giving back to the lands and the people from where this medicine comes, we Decolonize this ancestral wisdom and uplift the millenarian Cosmovisión of Latin American Civilizations.

Collparumi Five Stone Cleansing: Andean Shamanic Earth-Based Cleansing Practice

This is a healing technique that can be utilized by anyone, practitioner or not.

Stones are like our friends, our confidants, they are a resource to us when we are going through hard times. They can listen to us and help us release heavy energies. This cleansing technique is to connect you to the lower world, the place of cleansing heavy energies so that the density can be recycled into light energies, bringing harmony back to your being.

To do this cleansing, I invite you to find a place in nature next to a body of water. It can be a lake, stream or pond. This is a good time to offer a kintu to the place you will be doing a cleansing. A kintu works like a telephone, communicating our intentions to the spiritual world. To offer a kintu, you take three rose or bay leaves, connect with your heart space, and blow gently on the leaves from your intention. Then, you start to whisper to the leaves your name, introducing yourself to the land, then asking the land to receive the kintu as a gift of your gratitude, asking permission to do the cleansing and asking for support. Then dig a small and bury the kintu in the Earth.

After that you will meditate with the Earth, opening up your heart and asking her to send you five stones. Then you will intuitively pick out the five stones. They need to be small enough that two of the stones go in the left hand and the other three stones go in the right hand. Once you have your stones, two in the left and three in the right, again connecting to your heart space, tell the stones all your problems, pain, anger, frustrations, mistakes, regret or any heaviness you are experiencing to the stones. The stones are going to absorb the heavy energy.

When you have said all that you need to say, start to rub the stones over your body, starting at the head, then the upper body, mid body, then the lower body, “scrubbing” your body and ending at your feet. As you do this part, you can repeat the word, “lluqsi” which means to clean. As you are scrubbing the body you can also command and tell the energy to get out! (with a lot of strength and enthusiasm) You can call to spirits that help with cleansings as well. These spirits are Mama Sirena, Inca Huascar, Mother Water, and Mother Snake. Ask that they help take this energy to the lower world to be returned to light. Command the heavy energy to never come back. Once you are complete with this part, throw the stones in a body of water or bury them deep in the earth and don’t look back.

After the cleansing is done, it is important to forgive and let go and to believe in the process. Once you are done, take some time to rest, recalibrate and if you are able to, meditate in the sun to be filled with light energies.

May these resources provide you with any alternatives to healing and harmony.

with love, in ayni, Leah
